This year we attended the Southwark Stars award at the stunning Glaziers Hall, overlooking London Bridge and the river Thames. We socialised with the mayor, had some fancy food served from silver platters, and met some very talented people who were receiving various awards for their volunteering impacts in Southwark.
We attended to support Malachi Allen, who was awarded Disabled Volunteer of the year 2025. He was presented his award by Bede client Ciaran, last year’s winner.
Malachi gave a lovely speech thanking Bede House, while also recognising his hard work and said he had given his all.
Malachi is now a paid Travel Buddy at Bede and works with Steven, who also attended to support him. It was a lovely evening.
We are so proud of both Ciaran and Malachi who represented Bede so well.
