Clare College, Cambridge choir, performed exquisitely at St Mary’s Church, Rotherhithe on Monday night.

The Advent Carole service, led by Fr Mark Nicholls, saw the Choir’s return to help fundraise for Bede and it had a very good reception. Loretta Minghella, Master of Clare College, Cambridge read one of the Advent bible verses, which formed part of the night’s programme.

The Mayor of Southwark, Naima Ali, Archdeacon of Southwark, The Venerable Jonathan Sedgwick and Reverend Dr Mark Smith, Dean of Clare College’s Divinity studies were among the VIP guests.

Our thanks go to Fr Mark, Choir Conductor, Graham Ross, Organists Daniel Blaze & Evie Perfect, the Choir and everyone that came and supported us. The event raised just over £1900 for Bede.
