Cecelia and Andrea, from Art in the Park, ran a project this year to design two new garden benches for our nature garden in Aspinden Road.

Our clients visited the garden to sketch pictures of the wildflower and designed the natural look for the benches, in keeping with the nature garden environment. Jayden, Aisha, Colleen, Kaya, Jessica, Kyle and Davion worked really hard on the designs and these were transferred and painted onto the two benches over the course of a few months.

David assembled the flatpack benches once the painting had been finished and he varnished them too. Last week the Nature group placed the benches in the nature garden and we had a celebration to dedicate the new benches.
