Bede Starfish works to end domestic and gender-based abuse (VAWG) in Southwark. We support child and adult survivors to live free from fear and rebuild their lives, through a personalised mix of advocacy and advice, talking and art therapy, group work and peer support. Nearly ninety percent of our clients live more safely as a result of our help.
At Bede, we talk things through with you, face to face. We know that abuse takes many forms, and victims come from all walks of life, backgrounds and genders. We take the time to understand and recognise each person’s unique circumstances. We support survivors and their families to take back control at their own pace.
Together with our consortium partners we deliver the Womens Safety Alliance service on behalf of Southwark Council. This service is open to all living in Southwark who are at risk of gender-based abuse. Our lines are open 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed on bank holidays. Outside these hours leave us a message and we will call you back.
