Demelza Hanley, from West Dean College specialising in arts, design, crafts and conservation, is working in one of 2 groups of students engaged on a 7-week group project to design and revamp a new interior for staff, clients and visitors to Bede House. The core of the project will be sustainability, and people focussed with a carefully planned and thoughtful design to reflect what we need, especially, for our clients.
To assist with the project, Demelza has set herself the challenge of running 7 Marathons or 183.4 miles – the equivalent of 26.2 miles each week for 7 weeks – to raise funds for the project. Demelza will provide us with weekly updates during her challenge.

Bede looks forward to hearing from Demelza and wishes her the best of luck with the fundraising runs. We also can’t wait to see what designs she and the other students come up with for Bede House.

Race day is so close. Bede sends best wishes for our Marathon runners on Sunday.
Bede friends will run the Marathon for our learning disabled clients. Help them reach their donations target.
