Our Starfish, Domestic Abuse team hosted the University of Texas at Austin Social Work and Social Change Group Visit 2025, at the end of May. Part of the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS), this is one of the educational and cultural exchange programmes they have been providing since 1964.

Every Summer, for the last 6 years, Starfish have hosted the students, which they really enjoy. The team presented a workshop about domestic abuse, the social care system and how to engage with clients, followed by a talk with and look around the Learning Disabilities project.
